April 28th, 5:00-7:00 at Urban Hive in Midtown
Students, parents, educators, organizers and administrators, please join us at Urban Hive ( 1931 H St, Sacramento) for an evening of networking and learning about the Apps for Ag STEAM Camp, a program developed in partnership between the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and the Governance Lab (GovLabs), sponsored by University of California Agriculture and Natural Resources (UCANR), and the California Community Colleges System.
The camp is designed to deliver an immersive, two-week long, project-based and team-focused learning experience free of charge to high-school students (ages 14-19) in the Sacramento area. The curriculum of the camp will include hands-on learning in many areas of STEAM, and will include field trips, activities, and demonstrations aimed to inspire and engage students and showcase STEAM-based futures.
We encourage educators, administrators, organizations and community leaders interested in STEAM and education to attend the open house to learn more about the program and how youth from their community can take part.
Pizza and light beverages will be served. Please be sure to RSVP for the event below.
